The falafel is gone and the new option is the Forbidden Rice Bowl. This is labeled as vegan but with the option to add meat to it. The french fries are also labeled as vegan.
“Black fried rice, fried kale, mushrooms, roasted peppers, garlic, ginger, scallions, sweet and spicy sauce”
This was very greasy as the rice was fried and oily and the kale was deep fried. There were a few mushroom slices and the sauce was good, but an odd topping for the dish. I’m not sure how they came up with this dish.

I’m excited to explore the vegan options at Maritime Restaurant in Winter Haven. Their vegan falafel gyro looks enticing, featuring fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickled red onions, and a creamy coconut tzatziki. The gyro is also served with a side of French fries, promising a satisfying meal.
Another menu item that caught my eye is the vegan artichoke dip. I’m curious about what dipping options they provide—could it be that their hush puppies are vegan? I’m eager to find out.
Maritime Restaurant seems to offer a nice choice, and I look forward to trying them out and sharing my full review
