My Vegan Dining Experience at Scarpa’s Italian Restaurant in Lakeland, FL
Hey everyone! I recently had an great vegan dining experience at Scarpa’s Italian Restaurant in Lakeland, FL. Its an unassuming restaurant located in a strip mall, but inside the cozy and romantic interior are bustling date night and group diners. The the service was top-notch.
Let’s dive into the vegan options
**1. Bread without herbs:**
– Starting with the bread, it’s important to note that they are indeed vegan, but you’ll need to enjoy it with the oil without herbs.
**2. Vegan House Salad:**
– No appetizers are vegan, but the house salad is vegan. The online menu has a vegan bruschetta, but on the in person menu it is not vegan. The house and balsamic dressings are vegan. I have had it several times and find it to be lacking in tastiness.
**3. Pasta Primavera with no cheese:**
– This is a great choice! It has a lot of veggies and I really enjoy it. I request it with low-oil as these types of dishes can be quite oily. I appreciate them honoring the request. Although it does not come with cheese on the menu, make sure to ask for no cheese or it will come with cheese. (The marinara has chicken)
**5. Vegan Dessert Options:**
– Unfortunately, there aren’t any vegan dessert options. There are no non-dairy milks available either.
In conclusion, Scarpa’s offers a warm and inviting space for vegan diners. The flavorful dishes, cozy atmosphere, and attentive service make it a standout choice for a delightful vegan dining adventure. If you are looking for an upscale, yet casual option, definitely give it a try!
