New Vegan-Friendly Spot in Downtown Lakeland: Hakucho
If you haven’t been to Hakucho yet, it’s time to check it out. This beautifully designed new Japanese restaurant brings a fresh and elevated vibe to downtown, and yes, they have vegan options.
Pro tip: Ask for the Sharpie Menu. It’s a special handwritten menu that clearly marks what’s vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. The regular staff might not have all the details, so this is the best way to make sure you’re ordering confidently.
Vegan highlights include a satisfying udon bowl and my personal favorite, the warm grains dish. It’s light, healthy, and full of flavor.
